Our first STRAVA KOM – VEGAN POWER

KOM means “King of the Mountain” (QOM/ Queen of the Mountain for female warriors). It means you completed a particular segment over a map with the fastest time while cycling or running on Strava. Of course, KOMs come and go, so it’s an ephemeral milestone until someone else tops it. It’s 12 seconds over the High Bridge going from Manhattan to the Bronx. It’s a tiny sprint segment.

But now a known Vegan has done it. And plans to do more all over the place.

Team Vegan’s got watts! Ride your bike! Use yoru park! Move your body! Fuel your body compassionately and healthfully! Plant-based athletics for sustainable strides and world peace!

St. Nicholas Park

Some more of the sort of work to come. Look for a video on veganism very soon. For now, we are heavy on the theme of active living in relationship to good health and living revolutionarily (which includes a plant-based diet). Public city parks are key to that pursuit and must be accessible in any proper society for the public good. They cost no money to the poor man and should not be oppressive environments. Therefore, to the extent that they work, we celebrate and highlight them. Holla if you feel me that the open city park, and related urban infrastructure, are relevant to the conversation of revolutionary transformation for the increasingly urban human species.

St. Nicholas Park is my local park in the Village of Harlem in New York City. Check out my review video above. East River Greenway and Morningside Park coming soon.
